Susan McDonald - Crain Garden

 —  —

Methodist Hospital, 6565 Fannin, Houston, TX

This event is free and will be held in the Crain Garden of Methodist Hospital.

Susan has developed a series of concerts which incorporate music, literature and science. Her "Animal Ballets" combine original music with video footage to create live performances in which she is the "orchestra" and animals are the "dancers." Her live performance set to video footage will create a multi-sensory experience for the audience.

Susan McDonald, guitarist and composer, has performed at Carnegie Hall, for Holocaust survivors in a Viennese nursing home, and for the President of the United States. Her compositions have been enthusiastically received in concert halls, universities, festivals, and even in tiny villages in the Amazon. She is on the touring roster of Texas Commission on the Arts and has recently become affiliated with the international NGO American Voices. Under their auspices, she recently developed a classical guitar program for the YES Academy Iraq (Youth Excellence Onstage), where she taught and performed in 2013. http://www.animalballets.com/id15.html
