'Classical Minds' Institute and Competition Fundraising concert featuring Jay Kacherski; all ticket sales will go toward scholarships and competition prizes for the 2014 Classical Minds. Jay Kacherski recently completed the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts in Classical Guitar Performance (DMA) from the University of Texas at Austin with one of the premier U.S. guitarists and pedagogues, Professor Adam Holzman. Kacherski's performances include concerts at the Festival Internacional de Guitarra del Conservatorio Nacional de Musica, Mexico City; the Ollin Yoliztli Center for the Arts in Mexico City; Tulane University; McNeese State University; the concert artist series at the Museo Mural Diego Rivera in Mexico City; the XI Concurso y Festival de Guitarra de Taxco; and the concert artist series at the Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington D.C. Kacherski is currently a Visiting Lecturer at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. His scores will be available for purchase at the concert
